Adding Buttons and Links

Step 14. Create a navigational button template, which fits the style of your site. Don’t enter any scripts for the time being. Create another template for the external link if you wish to refer to other websites.

Step 15. Bring as many copies of the button to the stage as many pages do you have. So, if you projected 6 pages – create 6 buttons. Duplicate symbols for buttons and give every button it’s own name. You must have as many symbols in the library as many buttons you have.

However if your caption is not a part of the button you may use instances of the same symbol.

Repeat an operation for link buttons.

Step 16. Place a stop script at every interval in Action Layer. It will pause your site and prevent it from displaying your pages one by one.

Step 17. For each button enter a script into Action Panel. You will need goToAndPlay script with Frame Label corresponding to the frame interval named the same as button. It will give user an opportunity switch from page to page. Be sure that Button is highlighted when you enter scripts.
