Multi-layered buttons

Button timeline has only 4 frames to work on, but you may add as many layers as you want when you create the image for the button.

Professionally created buttons usually have separate layers for shape contours and fills, texts and special effects. It’s much easier to manipulate your drawings that way.

In our example we have different appears for button look and caption and it was convenient to separate drawings into 4 layers. Note that caption is highlighted with white color on hit stage – it also takes it’s own layer to do.
