Importing sound
Importing sound is easy – it’s done in the same way you import images. Select Menu-File-Import and choose the file from the disk.
Flash recognized MP3 and WAV files. WAF files consumes much more space if confirm to MP3 of similar quality, but Flash transform them into much smaller. So if you found good WAV sound file, don’t hesitate to use it in Flash because of it’s huge size. MID format is not recognizable by Flash.
Also you may find several sample sound files in the Library. Select Menu-Windows-Common Libraries – Sounds and you will find them.
Of course sounds don’t appear visually on the stage, but you may see them in the timeline. Extend the timeline with F5 shortcut, place cursor on the frame. Drag the sound from the library to the stage and you will see the “soundtrack” line appear. This soundtrack also seen on the Library panel and you may test sound directly in the library before placing it onto the stage
