Complex mask

All masks use similar techniques and even if the animation looks complicated – it applies the same technique.

Look at this “magnifying glass” animation. It consists of 4 layers. Upper layer is the mask – the circle symbol which is moving back and fourth. Beneath it the masked text. It is white and large. As it’s masked it will appear only inside the moving circle.

The third layer is a circle symbol painted with the gradient color to simulate the glass. It is moving simultaneously with the mask.

Next layer bears the same text as the masked layer but with slightly dimmed color and smaller in size. It is seen beyond the mask “hole”

Altogether symbols give a clear impression of the lens.

One more effect below is created by using again two texts. Font of the masked layer has the same color and a bit larger. Mask itself consists of many brush lines. While moving mask adds interesting effect to the border of each letter.
