Morphing
First Morphing Animation
Now you will create your first morphing animation.
- Open Flash MX and create a new file. Set up stage size to 200X100px
- You will need only one layer. Name it appropriately, for example “lrMorph”.
- Extend your timeline up to 50 frames.
- Draw the rectangle with rounded corners.
- Insert a keyframe at the last frame of your timeline. It’s done to make sure that at the end of the animation you will return to the initial stage.
- Insert one more keyframe in the middle of the timeline. Make sure that this middle keyframe is highlighted.
- Using arrow tool bend slightly one or several sides of the rectangle in middle keyframe. You also may change a colour of the shape in the middle keyframe. If you test the movie you will see the shape “jumping” at the middle of animation.
- Now – the most important step. Highlight the frame in between first and middle keyframes. Property inspector will open Frames properties set.
- Select Shape from the Tween combobox. You will see arrow appeared between first and middle frames. The space between frames will be colored into light green – it means that morphing is successful.
- Do the same for the second interval (between middle and last frames). Test your movie. It may look approximately like that.
