Flash Basics
Getting the Flash software
Current version is Flash MX and we present all the materials and exercises for this version. If you have access to the previous version – Flash MX it is also possible to use our course, since the difference in the interface is not so big. We will mention some details later.
To install Flash development environment you will need either to buy the copy of software from Macromedia – company that developed it – or ask Macromedia for a free trial version of the same software.
The easiest way to receive Flash MX copy is to download a free version of the program from Macromedia’s site http://macromedia.com . Go to the pages “products” and “store” to find an information about this product and process of downloading. At the time of writing this course Macromedia offered free 30-days trial version of Flash MX.
After accepting a license agreement for the trial version (it is possible that Macromedia asks you to create a client account) follow the downloading and then installation procedure as requested.
